Florida Park describes a relatively large and  very  pretty   geographic  area in midtown  Gainesville. It is about a mile from  the University of Florida.  Most of the 200 homes here were built in the 1940’s and the 1950’s.  The neighborhood features an array of eclectic ranch houses and offers a higher concentration of mid-century modern  architecture  than any other Gainesville neighborhood. The rolling topography,  old growth oaks ,  random thickets and the creek, where many locals spent hours as children successfully searching for shark’s teeth, evokes the feel of Old Florida.

Prices range from under $200,000 to over $400,000 for an updated mid-century modern home.
