Mentone is a delightful neighborhood of about 350 homes built by Atlantic Design, a local Gainesville builder, during the late nineties up until about 2005.

The subdivision is well planned, and offers a lot to young families. There is a very nice pavilion and pool area, a children’s playground, walking trails and a large playfield. Homes here range in size from 1500 square feet up to about 2800 square feet, and are priced from $170,000 to $300,000. The homes feature larger than average yards, and many are fenced.

Located very close to the I-75 exchange and within about a 10 minute drive to Shands teaching hospital, the area is popular with residents and medical professionals.
